See what's new on my Examiner page |
The beautifully awesome thing about Examiner is that after your first article is approved you are able to do with your topic what you deem fit. Examiner doesn't overshadow what I'm doing, but has allowed me to find my footing in writing for them.
My Goals in Writing for Examiner.com
- To gain experience and exposure writing in a public setting
- To develop my skills as a writer
- To publish pertinent, well thought out, well written works
- To build a portfolio that I can refer other publications to
My Favorite Examiner Published Articles
- 2010 Yellowstone County Relay for Life - I honestly think this is one of the best pieces I've written - ever. I hope it was able to touch people who don't know me and my family as it did for those who do.
- The Beauty of Used Book Stores - I LOVE books and I had a lot of fun writing this article.
- Tips on Successful Shopping with your Toddler - Honestly, I like this one for the final point I made. I reference the Berenstain Bears and I get a kick out of it every time I read it.
- The Kibbe series - This was my first ever attempt at interviewing someone and taking their words and making it work into a cohesive story. I've written a lot about it on the blog.
- The Day 2 piece of the VBS series garnered a lot of positive feedback and people seemed to find great amusement in the chaos that was my life. Enjoy! (Probably not a bad idea to at least check out the Getting Started piece - to get you started).
- The loss no one talks about. Helping a loved one through a miscarriage - This piece means a lot to me personally and it's a topic I feel needs to be addressed and out there.
- The computer challenge: Can you put it away for a day? - Will you take the challenge?
- Ginny's story: Keeping the faith - Please help me keep Ginny's story going.
